It’s been a great year for Loon Choir, the Ottawa based indie rock octet. New music, big shows, big plans. Their latest album, In The Age of Alienation, c ame out in April.

“We released our album, and played a sold out NAC Show for its release. The journey of making this last record spanned almost 2 years, so it has been amazing to finally get it out to the world!”

Loon Choir came onto the local scene in 2009, and their debut full length release,

Expansion Forces, came a year later. Having been around the block a few times now, this isn’t the first time Loon Choir has gotten the call from Bluesfest, but that doesn’t mean they’re any else excited.

“Playing Bluesfest is always a treat! This, being out third time playing, we know a little bit as to what to expect. It is always nice to expand our local following as we hope to get some people out who normally wouldn't see our local shows. This our first time playing in the Barney Danson Theatre so we are also excited about that!

You can check out Loon Choir in the Barney Danson Theatre TONIGHT at RBC’s Bluesfest at 6PM. And you can find them online at www.loonchoir.com, and all their albums are available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play and more.
