There are no mistakes in space, and rarely on stage either. Ottawa locals No Mistakes in Space plan to bring their enthralling live show to Bluesfest this Saturday, and they (and we) are stoked.

“It’s really special to us to play the festival after attending for so many years, it’s such a big part of Ottawa’s music culture. I hope we’ll meet lots of new people and see some great performances!”

NMIS play what they called, “indie rock with a heavy dose of post-rock atmospherics.” And if you’re not sure what that is you can check out a live set they did with LIVE @ LIVE of their songs “For She Who Loved These Gardens, For Him Who Walked Beside Her” and “Truth Hurts.”

If you plan on checking out NMIS this summer, Bluesfest may be your best bet if you need a quick fix before the band jumps into the pre-production phase of their new record.

“We might play a few more shows over the summer but for now most of our time and attention will be spent getting our new album ready to record.”

You can see No Mistakes In Space playing the Barney Danson Theatre at 5:00 PM on Saturday, July 6th at RBC Bluesfest this weekend. Check out their website at and watch their video for “Oblivious” below!
